I thought on those endless nights
Committed to conversations
Devouring left and right
The rest of our lives
I always hated those techno songs
You put on my compilations
Those sanely notions of right and wrong
That always got in my way
I’m over it now
You won’t see me around
Go burry the knife in someone else
Because I’m over it now, I’m over it now, I’m over it
You left at the darkest part
Of my constant intoxication
My battered and broken heart
It nearly gave out
I kicked around in the big bad world
After you sold all my action figures
I never got in that one last word
So here’s a fuck you
I’m over it now
You won’t see me around
Go burry the knife in someone else
Because I’m over it now, I’m over it now, I’m over it
Drown in the illusion that I care
Drown in the illusion that I care
Drown in the illusion that I care
Drown in the illusion, I’m over it now
You won’t see me around
Go fuck up the life of someone else
Because I’m over it now, I’m over it now, I’m over it now
I’m over it now
Go burry the knife in someone else
Because I’m over it now, I’m over it now, I’m over it
Julien Baker is an acquired taste - assuming of course you’ve acquired great taste in singer songwriters… beautiful, devastating, honest, insightful… I’ve not heard a single song of hers that hasn’t left me in absolute awe. crisbroadhurst
I feel like this part of a natural progression of this Justin's natural sound culminating in a short, but excellent aural treat. You couldn't ask for a more cohesive album on the treatise on finding glimmers of light in the darkness. I hope another album comes soon. Maybe a mid year ep to tide us over? computerhardware89

Tacoma's Karass whittled these bleak dream-pop gems from free-form jams, and the rhythms that rattle through them have a live energy. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 24, 2021
The verse "Can't even buy a coffee without exploiting someone" got me. It really hits hard. For the entire length of the album it felt like the end of the world.
But to be perfectly honest, it's just how life is these days. And it's fucked up. szczur
